Traditional Jamaican Pineapple/Ginger drink

Ingredients:

10 cm fresh ginger root cut into pieces

1 fresh turmeric root cut into pieces

2 tangerines or oranges

1 cup cane sugar

2 limes

4 liters hot water

Instructions:

Wash the pineapple. Peel the pineapple.

Put the pineapple peels together with the ginger and turmeric in a pan with hot water.

Bring to boil and boil for 30 minutes.

Strain the liquid and throw away the pulp.

Add the sugar, juice of the limes, juice of the tangerines/oranges.

Strain again through cheese cloth.

Cook : 30 minutes

Resting time : 30 minutes
